Joanne Wood Peters designed this basket and embellished it with the feathered technique she brought from Japan. The basket starts with a double base. The sides are woven up, over, and down to the outside of the base in the chase weave. LaVaunne has created a method to help the shaping go smoothly. A final touch of embellishment with 1/4 in flat oval reed adds a dramatic statement of beauty. The feathering is not difficult and is time rewarding. A selection of colors for the feathering will be available. |
